With the last name Sweet, you know it must come with a sweet tooth. I love to be creative with our treats and one of my favorite treats is Cotton Candy. And, I may or may not have a beloved cotton candy machine. Yes, you read that right. Cotton. Candy. Machine.
This miniature machine can be purchased on Amazon along with flavored sugars and the cones the cotton candy wraps around. It’s definitely what some of my nieces and nephews love to do while they are visiting. The adults are also infatuated with the process of making cotton candy…it’s like my little science experiment. While the kids may think they are the only ones who can have fun with this classic cloud of sugar, the adults know how to play as well. Can you say cotton candy cocktails?! (Keep your eyes peeled)
One might think that specific ingredients are required for this machine, but that’s not the case. You can use any piece of hard candy to make this fluffy treat. It’s easy, quick and surprisingly low in sugar. Actually, a dentist invented Cotton Candy! I know, that’s crazy, but one small jolly rancher can be used for one or two cones. You can also use a sugar-free piece of candy if your heart desires! There is sugar that comes with the machine but, it only requires 1 tablespoon for two cones. I encourage all of you to try out this sweet treat at your next get together. Not only does it create smiles on every face in the room, but it also makes for a fun activity when everyone is together.
