The baby shower I recently co-hosted was in between meal times, so we provided some finger foods, desserts and yummy drinks. All the ladies mingled and caught up over the tasty refreshments before opening presents. I love this group of beautiful supportive and empowering women. I’m continually reminded of their encouragement and thankful in times like these that we are able to get together and celebrate life.
I can’t say this enough: this amazing shower could not have been a success without the loving hands that so kindly helped honor this mother-to-be. Below you’ll discover some of the refreshment tips. Happy planning!
Russian Tea Drink
I have to give credit for the Russian Tea to my dear friend, Kimberly Schaplman. For this recipe and more of her delicious treats and southern meals check out her cookbook, Oh Gussie!
I do have a tip to add to her recipe. Kimberly mentioned to me that the tea needs to be served ice cold. So when I served this at the party, I froze orange slices and pineapples pieces to put in there. The frozen fruits acted as a natural flavored ice that didn’t water down the drink as it melted, whereas ice would. And, it adds some bright color to the tea.
