Why hello there, Friday! What better way to celebrate the weekend than with a little toddy, AKA a cocktail! I’m sharing a few of my favorite local places to enjoy cocktail hour in Nashville. With all the options that this town offers for food and drinks, sometimes I find myself at a loss for where to even choose to go. I’d say that we’re lucky to live a continually growing and booming town to have this issue! Whether you’re local or visiting, make sure to put the below on your list of places to experience a cocktail or two!
Acme Feed & Seed
Where do I even start with this newly Nashville staple? First things first, you absolutely can’t beat this rooftop view. Sometimes it’s closed for special events, so make sure to double check before. However, don’t let that stop you from living the Acme experience. Their cocktail menu, beer options, and incredible live music is only half of the goodness. The food is amazing offering two different types of menus; southern and sushi.
Capitol Grille – Oak Bar
Truly a hidden gem – I love the atmosphere of this place. Sometimes I forget I’m in Nashville and feel more like I’m in a 1950’s movie in New York or Chicago. Oak Bar has an unbelievable daily Happy Hour menu from 4:30-6:30pm which includes $4 Beers, $5 Martinis, $7 Glasses of Wine and 1/2 off select food items.
I’ve always been very fond of this place. You can’t go wrong with any food item on the menu from their southern classics to pub favorites and especially their wood-fire pizzas. If you’re going only for drinks and an appetizer – the nachos are great to share for the whole table! Also, don’t miss out on their 2-for-1 Tuesdays which includes select cocktails, beer and wine from 4-10pm.
They had me at their farm-to-table! Owned by the same company (M Street) as Whiskey Kitchen and many of my other favorites, Kayne Prime offers the finest dining in Nashville. It’s the perfect spot to dress up for an evening with your girlfriends or significant other and drink from their sophisticated cocktail menu and endless wine options. We all deserve a night to treat ourselves and feel fancy every now and then!
